In this episode we shared space with Areli Porras (aka. Coach Si) and Christian Martinez (aka Poeta Galactico). They took our thinking to new levels. Get ready for a thought provoking journey. Areli is a dynamic and inclusive advocate for families and communities. Christian is an educator and community innovator with a passion for education, media, and fashion. These two along with another colleague founded the Camino Program in East Oakland. This holistic approach to supporting migrant youth is modeling a way to care for the community beyond creating access. It supports migrant youth in finding their path. Their story telling gifts, community building skills, and love for their work has inspired us to reimagine our work.
